UERMCMAA Alumni Website
I built an alumni website for the UERM College of Medicine Alumni Association using WordPress and BuddyPress, and centred the design on the organization's 50th anniversary. The homepage gives the association somewhere to publish: an opening message from the president, side-by-side News and Events columns, a President's Corner, an Alumni Corner for members' achievements, a feed that pulls in the association's Facebook posts, and a UERM campus tour video.

Details
The UERM College of Medicine Alumni Association is a medical school alumni body in Quezon City, and its website has to serve two audiences at once: alumni who want news, events, and recognition, and the association itself, which needed somewhere to publish all of it. I built the site on WordPress with BuddyPress and organised the homepage around an opening message from the association president, a two-column News and Events block, a President’s Corner, an Alumni Corner for members’ achievements, a feed that pulls in the association’s Facebook posts, and the UERM campus tour video. The design is built on the 50th anniversary identity, with the gold-and-blue palette and the anniversary badge carried through the header and footer. Contact details — address, phone, and Facebook page — sit in a block that appears on every page.
Alumni associations have a publishing problem that businesses do not: the people producing the content are volunteers with full-time jobs, and the material arrives in bursts — a homecoming, a licensure result, an award, a reunion. A site like this lives or dies on whether a volunteer can publish without help. I build WordPress websites for associations, alumni bodies, and professional societies that put publishing first: a news and events structure that can be handed to a non-technical editor, member recognition that is easy to keep current, and a social feed that lets the association’s existing Facebook activity do some of the work.
