Who is responsible for your information
Jasper Espejo, based in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, operates this website and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact me about privacy through the contact details on the project inquiry page.
Website analytics and form progress
This site uses Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people find and use the site and to improve its content, performance, and inquiry process. Analytics may collect or derive information such as:
- pages viewed, referring pages, links clicked, and visit timing;
- approximate location, device, browser, operating system, and screen information;
- pseudonymous identifiers and information stored in or read from analytics cookies or similar technologies; and
- interaction events from the project inquiry form, including when the form is started, steps viewed or completed, progress percentage, validation errors, submission attempts, and whether a submission succeeded or failed.
The analytics events designed for the inquiry form do not include the answers entered in the form, your name, email address, phone number, project description, or the contents of your submission. Google Tag Manager manages when measurement tags run; the services configured through it may receive data when those tags fire.
Project inquiries
When you submit the project inquiry form, I receive the information you provide so I can assess your requirements, prepare and discuss a proposal, respond to you, and take steps toward a possible working relationship. The submission email also includes the referring URL, the IP address observed by Cloudflare, and Cloudflare's approximate city, region, and country information. Location derived from an IP address may be inaccurate, particularly when a VPN or proxy is used.
The website does not keep a separate server-side database copy of inquiry answers. An unfinished draft may be stored locally in your browser so you can continue after a refresh. You can clear that draft by clearing this site's browser storage. Submitted inquiries are delivered through Brevo and may remain in my email records for as long as reasonably needed to evaluate the inquiry, communicate with you, keep appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
Why information is processed
I process information where reasonably necessary to:
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- measure traffic and the effectiveness of the inquiry process;
- respond to inquiries and prepare requested proposals;
- prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent submissions; and
- meet applicable legal and record-keeping obligations.
Depending on where you live, the applicable legal basis may include your consent, taking steps at your request before entering a contract, my legitimate interests in operating and improving the site, or compliance with a legal obligation.
Service providers and transfers
Information may be processed by service providers that support this site, including Cloudflare for hosting, security, request handling, and approximate geolocation; Google for Tag Manager, Analytics, and YouTube video playback; Brevo for inquiry email delivery; and Cloudflare Turnstile for automated-abuse protection. These providers may process information on infrastructure outside your country under their own terms and privacy safeguards. I do not sell inquiry answers or personal information.
Embedded YouTube videos
Some project pages include optional YouTube walkthroughs. The site initially displays a locally hosted preview image and loads the player from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain only after you choose to play a video. When the player loads or you interact with it, your browser sends information to Google and YouTube. This may include your IP address, browser and device details, the referring page, and your interactions with the video. Google and YouTube may use cookies or similar technologies according to your settings and their privacy policy. Privacy-enhanced mode limits how an embedded view is used for personalization, but playing a video still connects your browser to YouTube.
Cookies and your choices
Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar technologies to distinguish visits and measure site usage. Where consent is required, analytics storage should remain disabled until you make a choice. You can also restrict cookies in your browser or use Google's Analytics opt-out tools, although this may reduce the accuracy of site measurement.
Retention and security
Analytics information is retained according to the settings of the Google Analytics property and is deleted or aggregated when it is no longer needed. Inquiry records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. I use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to be informed, request access or correction, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, request deletion or portability, and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. In the Philippines, these rights are overseen by the National Privacy Commission. Contact me through the project inquiry page to make a request. I may need to verify your identity before acting on it.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when the site's services or data practices change. The date above will be revised when an update is published.
