Details
Palo Alto Bed & Breakfast is an eco-friendly B&B in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. Its buildings are constructed from wooden poles sourced from sustainable plantations, and the property runs partly on solar energy. I redesigned its website in 2014 around a long-scrolling homepage that puts the essentials on page one: the rooms with booking buttons, promo packages, background on the B&B, and its location on a Google Map.
I built the custom WordPress theme on WooThemes Canvas with a child theme and used a responsive layout, so the site works well on phones and tablets where most travel research happens. It was a repeat engagement with owner Ms. Pauline Ylaya — I had also redesigned the site in 2012 and built a website for their other family business.
For hotels, B&Bs, and resorts, the homepage has to answer a traveler’s questions quickly: what the rooms are like, what it costs, where it is, and how to book. I build WordPress hotel websites that do exactly that. Contact me about your hotel website.
